This second quiz also asks states and capitals, but includes more complicated questions involving the cardinal directions [North, South, East, West] and which direction something is in relation to another place. It also asks about the Great lakes and the Mississippi River, the surrounding oceans, Mexico and Canada (all of which are shown, with names, on the lower map). This quiz makes the student take what they know and use that knowledge to figure out the answers to the questions. There are no questions that cannot be figured out with the Cardinal directions and the bodies of water that are labeled on the lower map.
