There are two arms that make up Croatia, one along the Adriatic Sea and one along Croatia's northern border.  These two arms envelope Bosnia and Herzegovina.  To the North of Croatia are Slovenia and Hungary; to the east is Serbia.  There is a tiny border with Montenegro on the coast of the Adriatic.  Croatia also includes many islands in the Adriatic Sea.  There is a small corridor across the arm of Croatia along the Adriatic Sea where Bosnia and Herzegovina has access to the sea.
Along with Slovenia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia, Croatia was a part of the former Yugoslavia.
