The Republic of Macedonia is often referred to as the "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" due to objections by Greece.  Macedonia is a landlocked country bordered by Albania to the west, Kosovo and Serbia to the north, Bulgaria to the east and Greece to the south.  Along with Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo, Macedonia was a part of the former Yugoslavia.
