Finland is the easternmost Nordic country; sharing a long eastern border with Russia.  The capital of Finland, Helsinki, is the most northern capital on the European continent.  Finland is bordered on the north by Norway, and by Sweden to the west.  Much of southern Finland is edged by the Gulf Of Bothnia, which is an arm of the Baltic Sea.
