Bosnia and Herzegovina is bordered on the north, west and south by Croatia, except for a 20 km stretch of the coast of the Adriatic Sea.  To the east is Serbia and Montenegro.  Like Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina was once a part of Yugoslavia.
