Bhutan is a small country whose local name translates
as “Land of the Thunder Dragon”, appropriately since its northern end is
in the Himalayan mountains, where violent storms originate. Bhutan is wedged
between India to the south and China to the north. There are the steep,
high mountains of the Himalayans, with some fertile deep valleys. Most of
Bhutan is forested. Bhutan is a constitutional monarchy. |
